A group of friends had a dream to turn this end of the 19th century "sleeping beauty" into a country side boutique hotel. Due to unexpected technical issues and local fire brigade requirements, the budgetbecame very tight. Our goal was to make this hotel like a family home where every guest would feel like a friend. We tried to stay in line with the era of construction, searching for old cement tiles for the bathrooms, repairing the damaged mouldings with real crafmanship, leaving the ceiling unpainted, showing its age, spending months to find the appropriate furniture on flea markets.
